The Sur-Ron Light Bee X is a lightweight electric off-road motorcycle built around a forged aluminium frame and an 8000W mid-drive PMSM motor. Power comes from a 60V 40Ah (roughly 2.4kWh) removable lithium-ion pack using 21700 cells, which slides out in seconds for charging indoors and refills in around two to three hours. At roughly 57kg it stays flickable on technical trails, with inverted coil forks up front and a multi-link adjustable rear giving close to 200mm of travel each end. A 19in front and 18in rear wheel pairing wears knobbly off-road tyres, and four-piston hydraulic disc brakes handle stopping. Expect a top speed near 47mph and up to around 46 miles of range depending on terrain and mode.
Because it produces 8000W, far above the UK’s 250W pedal-assist limit, the Light Bee X is strictly an off-road machine and is not road-legal in the UK. Ride it on private land, tracks or trails only.
