The Velotric Discover 1 Plus is a comfort-focused step-through commuter built around a 500W rear hub motor (900W peak, 65Nm) and a sizeable 48V 691Wh battery, giving a claimed range of up to 65 miles and a realistic 30 to 55 miles depending on how hard you lean on the five pedal-assist levels. The triple-butted aluminium step-through frame suits riders from roughly 5’1″ to 6’4″, while an 80mm coil suspension fork, swept-back cruiser bars and a cushioned saddle keep longer rides relaxed.
Practical hardware does the heavy lifting: dual 180mm hydraulic disc brakes, a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain, 26 x 2.5in puncture-resistant tyres, integrated lighting, a rear rack and a 440lb payload limit. UL 2271/2849 certification covers battery and frame.
Important: with 500W output, a throttle and assist beyond 15.5mph, this US-spec model is not road-legal as a UK EAPC and is intended for off-road or private-land use only.
