The Simplon Rapcon Pmax TQ (now badged Rapcon :eTQ) is a lightweight carbon enduro e-MTB built for riders who want trail-bike feel with a discreet helping hand. Its hand-built full-carbon frame runs 29in wheels with 170mm of front travel and 165mm at the rear, controlled by a Fox 38 Factory fork and Fox Float X2 shock – a 150/150mm trail setup is also offered through Simplon’s configurator.

Power comes from the TQ HPR50 motor, one of the quietest and lightest systems on the market at just 1.85kg, delivering 50Nm and a natural 250W assist. A neatly integrated 360Wh battery sits in the down tube, with an optional range extender for longer days. At around 19.4kg with SRAM XX1 AXS shifting and Code RSC brakes, it climbs and descends like a far less powerful bike.

This electric bike meets UK Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) requirements: a 250W motor providing pedal-assistance that cuts off at 15.5 mph (25 km/h). It can be ridden on UK roads, cycle paths and bridleways with no licence, registration, road tax or insurance required, by riders aged 14 or over.
