The Byocycles Chameleon is a compact 20-inch folding electric bike built for city commuting and easy storage. A 250W 36V MXUS brushless geared rear-hub motor pairs with a 36V 10Ah lithium-ion battery (a 13Ah upgrade is offered) to deliver a real-world range of roughly 35 to 50 miles between charges, with a 4 to 5 hour recharge time. The aluminium low step-through frame folds down in seconds, making it straightforward to carry, store in a hallway, or stow in a car boot or on public transport.
Riding hardware is kept practical and serviceable: a 6-speed Shimano Tourney derailleur, V-brakes front and rear with motor cut-out levers, a suspension saddle, integrated rear rack and front light. As a 250W pedelec assisting up to 15.5mph it qualifies as a UK road-legal EAPC; note that the fitted throttle/walk-assist is intended for low-speed manoeuvring.
