This high-output build of the Tongsheng TSDZ2 runs at 48V and 500W peak with a fitted thumb throttle for instant on-demand power, delivering noticeably stronger torque on steep climbs and loose terrain than the 250V road version. It retains the TSDZ2’s hallmark torque-sensing bottom-bracket drive for a natural pedalling feel, but the higher power output and hand throttle take it outside EAPC limits. For off-road / private land use only – not road-legal in the UK. Do not ride this kit on public roads, cycle paths or bridleways. Supplied with the motor unit, VLCD6 colour-capable display, PAS, brake cut-offs, thumb throttle and full wiring loom. Fits standard threaded 68-73mm bottom bracket frames.
This machine is fitted with a full twist-grip throttle and is not compliant with UK EAPC (Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle) regulations. It must only be used on private land or a closed circuit with the landowner’s permission. Using it on a public road, cycle path or other public place would require type approval, registration, tax, insurance and a relevant licence.
Riders are responsible for using appropriate protective equipment and complying with local rules.

No. EAPC (Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle) e-bikes are legal on UK roads without a licence, insurance, or registration, provided the motor assists only while pedalling and is limited to 250 W / 15.5 mph.
Range depends on the battery size, rider weight, terrain, and assist level. Check the specific product specification for its stated range; typical figures are 40–120 miles per charge.
Most batteries charge in 3–6 hours from flat using the supplied charger. Fast-charge options (where available) can halve this time.
Yes. Our bikes carry an IP rating (see spec tab) and are designed for UK weather. Avoid submerging the battery or motor. Dry and lightly oil the drivetrain after wet rides.
