The Sur-Ron Ultra Bee is a full-size electric off-road motorcycle built around a forged aluminium chassis and a mid-mounted PMSM motor delivering up to 12.5 kW peak (with 21 kW HairPin-motor versions sold by some UK dealers). A removable 74V 55Ah lithium pack stores roughly 4 kWh, good for around 60 miles of steady trail riding and a top speed near 90 km/h (56 mph). Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, long-travel inverted forks and an INTERSECT TR multi-link monoshock keep it composed over rough ground, while 19in front and 18in rear wheels on off-road knobblies provide the grip. Three ride modes plus reverse and adjustable SRTC traction control let you dial delivery from gentle commuting to aggressive enduro. At roughly 85 kg dry it stays liftable and flickable in technical sections.

This machine is fitted with a full twist-grip throttle and is not compliant with UK EAPC (Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle) regulations. It must only be used on private land or a closed circuit with the landowner’s permission. Using it on a public road, cycle path or other public place would require type approval, registration, tax, insurance and a relevant licence.
