The Bafang BBSHD (Heavy Duty) is the flagship of the Bafang mid-drive range, built around a beefier motor housing, larger gears and an uprated controller for sustained high-power use. Rated at 48V 1000W with a colossal 160Nm of torque, it turns a sturdy hardtail or fat bike into a genuine off-road weapon capable of tackling the steepest trails fully loaded. Power is delivered through your drivetrain for maximum mechanical advantage, with pedal-assist and a full hand/thumb throttle. Kit includes the BBSHD motor unit, lockring spanner, chainring, motor-cut-off brake levers, gear sensor, colour display, PAS sensor and full wiring loom. Fits a standard threaded BSA bottom bracket. For off-road / private land use only — not road-legal in the UK. Its 1000W rating and full throttle place it well outside the UK EAPC limits and it must only be ridden on private land or off-road with permission.
