This website is operated by Power On Bikes Limited (trading as VOLTARC), a company registered in England and Wales, Company No. 15944114. Registered office: Unit 9b Ash Park Business Centre, Tadley, RG26 5FL.

2. What personal data we collect

  • Order and account information — name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number.
  • Payment information — orders are currently paid by bank transfer via our payment provider (tgpayments), using the reference details shown at checkout. We do not ask for or store card details.
  • Usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and time on site, collected via Google Analytics (Google Site Kit) and other analytics cookies (with your consent, managed through our cookie consent tool).
  • Live chat messages — if you use our live chat widget (Tidio), the messages and any contact details you provide are processed to respond to your enquiry. Tidio only loads after you consent to functional/marketing cookies.
  • Communications — any messages you send via our contact form or email.

3. How we use your data

  • Processing and fulfilling orders — legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
  • Customer account management — legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • Order-related communications (confirmation, dispatch, returns) — legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • Marketing emails — only if you have opted in; you can unsubscribe at any time — legal basis: consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
  • Website analytics — anonymous data to understand usage and improve the site — legal basis: consent.
  • Website security — monitoring for malicious activity to keep the site and your data safe — legal basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Legal and financial compliance — e.g. HMRC record-keeping — legal basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data only where necessary, with the following categories of service provider:

  • Payment processing — our payment provider (tgpayments) processes bank-transfer order payments on our behalf.
  • Email delivery and marketing — transactional emails (order confirmations, dispatch updates) and, if you opt in, marketing/newsletter emails and cart-reminder emails, are sent via our email service providers, including Brevo (Sendinblue).
  • Live chat — Tidio provides our live chat widget; chat transcripts and any details you share are processed by Tidio on our behalf.
  • Website analytics — Google Site Kit / Google Analytics, to understand site usage (with your consent).
  • Security — Wordfence, to help protect the site and your data from malicious activity.
  • Delivery partners — courier companies require your name and delivery address to fulfil orders.
  • IT and hosting providers — including our hosting provider and LiteSpeed caching technology, who process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Order records are retained for 7 years to comply with HMRC requirements.
  • Marketing consent is retained until you withdraw it.
  • Enquiries that do not result in an order are deleted after 2 years.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability (where processing is based on consent or contract).
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
